About the programme
Lasting reform for every child
Shule Bora is a 6-year system-strengthening programme that impacts learning in over 6,000 schools across Tanzania, funded by UK International Development. It is delivered through technical assistance, working directly with ministries and local authorities. It embeds experts within national and regional structures, strengthens existing systems for teacher training, inclusive education, and data-driven planning. This focus on building institutional capacity ensures that improvements in teaching quality and school safety are sustainable, scalable, and fully owned by the Tanzanian government. This Knowledge Hub brings together all the resources created through the programme.9
